CEDAR FALLS - Ruth N. Streeter, 89, of Western Home Communities Martin Center, Cedar Falls, died there Monday, Dec. 11, 2006.

She was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Clear Lake, daughter of Andrew and Emma (Ganschow) Nelson.

She married Robert Streeter Aug. 24, 1948. They were later divorced. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1933, and attended Iowa State Teachers College where she received her teaching certificate. She taught in country school from 1939-1942. She then was employed by the U.S. Government with the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command in Washington, D.C. for 31 years, retiring in June of 1974.

Preceded in death by: her parents.

Memorial Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. There will be no visitation. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
