CEDAR FALLS - Donald L. Ward, 94, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 18, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born June 22, 1917, in Cedar Falls, son of George W. and Bessie Pattee Ward. He married Dorothy Caley in 1936. She died in 1938. He married Catherine M. Sullivan on June 5, 1943, in Wakefield, Mass. She died March 16, 2011.

Mr. Ward served in the U.S. Navy for seven years during World War II. He worked at Clay Equipment for 14 years, was a self-employed TV repairman and was employed as an electronics technician with Montgomery Ward, retiring in 1979.

Survived by a daughter, Patricia (Richard Sr.) Olsson of Cedar Falls; a son, Donald L. Jr. of Florida; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Max (Betty) of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lee Ward; and three brothers, Gayle, Floyd and Earl.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 Honor Guard. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
