Everett Franck, 68

Everett "Shorty" Franck, 68, lifelong resident of Hudson, died Tuesday, February 9, from a heart attack preceding an automobile accident north of Hudson on Highway 63.

He was born February 15, 1930, in Hudson, son of Homer and Leona Arter Franck. He graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 1948. Everett and Barbara J. Keleher were married on June 2, 1950.

He was employed as a butter maker at the Hudson Co-op Dairy for 20 years, then drove a gas transport for Ruan Trucking. He enjoyed custom farming and auctioneering. He was a volunteer with the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years.

Mr. Franck is survived by his wife; a daughter, Cheryl Vaughan and her husband, John, of Hudson; four grandchildren, John, Jennifer, Mary and Matthew Everett; one great grandson, Isaiah; a brother, Allen C. Franck of Cookson, Oklahoma; and a sister, Marcella Kapela, of Waldron, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley and Eugene.

Memorial services were held at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Timothy Lutheran Church on Friday followed by internment in the Hudson Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
