WATERLOO - Donald "Don" Nichols, 70, of Waterloo, formerly of New Hartford, died Tuesday, March 6, at Allen Hospital.

He was born March 5, 1942, in Oelwein, son of Joseph and Laura Bollyn Nichols.

Mr. Nichols graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Oelwein, and had worked in the John Deere Foundry before retiring in 1991.

Survived by two sons, Joseph of Davenport and Jeff (Jeanie) of Janesville; three daughters, Julie (Chris) Foust of Waterloo, Jeanette (Joe) Stacey of Clutier and Pam (Kevin) Thomas of Tama; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters; and a special friend, Tiffany Cole of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a grandson, Donny Nichols.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Pancreatic Cancer Association in lieu of flowers.
