WATERLOO — Maryann Petty, 82, of Waterloo, formerly of Evansdale, died Thursday, March 1, at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Falls of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Corydon, daughter of John and Bertha Cross Wilkie. She married Carroll Petty Aug. 25, 1948. He died March 22, 2000.

She was a nurses’ aide at Schoitz Hospital for 15 years, and a senior companion with SecuraSitter for 10 years. Mrs. Petty was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Survived by three sons, Mark (Sylvia Hernandez) of Evansdale, and Mike and Scott (Robin Urich), all of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Ellie Mastin and Cleo Boswell; and two brothers, Ed Wilkie and Girly Wilkie.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home. She will be cremated following services. Public visitation will be held for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
