Dora F. Willsey was born March 26, 1902 in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of David and Cora (McDowell) Lynn. She died Monday, August 16, 1999, at the Cedar Falls Western Home, at 97 years of age.

She married James Willsey on September 8, 1920 in Parkersburg, Iowa. Dora attended Reinbeck High School and Gates Business College in Waterloo, Iowa. She worked for an advertising agency and a Parkersburg attorney. Dora was a member of numerous organizations at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Dora is survived by her two daughters, Marcia Alcorn and her husband Lavern, and Iris Woodard and her husband George, both of West Union, Iowa; five grandchildren, Kim R. Colberg, Kent J. Colberg, Nancy Marker, Jane Aves and Richard O. Woodard; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; three brothers, David, Bill and Harold Lynn; and six sisters, Jenny Engle, Cora Damm, Alta Krumlinde, Ruth Van Tassel, Myrtle Newsome and Hazel Miller.

Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 1999, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Dike, Iowa following the service. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Wesleyan Church in Cedar Falls.
