WATERLOO, IOWA - Ronald "Red" Milne, 81, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Feb. 2, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born on January 16, 1931, in Waterloo, son of Donald and Mildred Bowen Milne. He married Zora Pullin on April 29, 1978, in Waterloo, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1950, and attended journeyman electrician trade school in Minneapolis. He was a master electrician at John Deere for 33 years, retiring in 1991. Mr. Milne served in the U.S. Navy on the Aircraft Carrier USS Philippines during the Korean War.

Survived by: his wife; four daughters, Jenny (Larry) Johnson of Bode, Gail (Brian Delagardelle) Bellis of Gilbertville, Barb (Gary Reed) Pullin of Denver, Colo., and Kathy Pullin of Waterloo; a son, Larry Pullin of Morrison; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two daughters, Donna Milne and Marie Purdy; a grandson; a daughter-in-law, Patti Pullin; and a brother, Kent Van Schoyck.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, with military rites by Waterloo AMVET Post 19 and Evansdale AMVET Post 31. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo, at a later date. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
