CEDAR FALLS - Rita DeBettignies, 83, of Cedar Falls, died at home Friday, Jan. 20.

She was born Feb. 20, 1928, in New Hampton, daughter of Al and Margaret Ungs Papenheim. She married Neil DeBettignies on April 14, 1956, in Tama. He died Jan. 8, 1995.

Mrs. DeBettignies was a secretary with Processes Inc. for many years, retiring in 1987.

Survived by a son, Don of Lakewood, Colo.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Theresa Buckel and Lucille Papenheim.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
