MRS. FREACE C. HEICHEL

Funeral services for Mrs. Freace C. Heichel, 57, former Waterloo resident who died Friday at the home of her son, Freace Heichel, Jr., 723 Fourth avenue, Cedar Falls, have not yet been set, pending word from a son in Oregon, members of the family said.

Mrs. Heichel, whose home was at 722 Fourth avenue, Cedar Falls, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 11 a.m. while visiting in the home of her son.

Born Dagmar Rasmussen, daughter of Thyge and Lena Rasmussen on September 4, 1888, near Hudson, Iowa, she was married to Freace C. Heichel on September 4, 1906. The couple resided on farms near Hudson and Washburn before retiring and moving to Waterloo. They had resided in Cedar Falls since 1934.

Mrs. Heichel was a member of the United Brethren Church and was a past regent of the Women of the Moose in Waterloo.

Surviving besides the husband are five daughters: Mrs. Glenn Brown, 214 Peoria Street and Mrs. Claude O. Morgan, 1720 Locke Avenue, Waterloo; Mrs. George Shorman of Greene, Iowa, Miss Norma Dell, at home; and Mrs. Don Rogers, 716 Fourth Avenue, Cedar Falls. Also surviving are four sons: Freace, Jr., 723 Fourth avenue, Cedar Falls; Russell of Cedar City; Hershel of The Dalles, Oregon; and Glade, at home.

Seven sisters also survive, including Mrs. Fred Joyce, Hotel President; Mrs. Thorvald Hoist, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Harve Lincoln, San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. Arthur French, Los Angeles; Mrs. George Fisher, Hudson; Mrs. Ben Gilbert, Long Beach, Cal.; Mrs. James Nelson, Calgary, Canada.

A son, John, was killed in action on April 19, 1945.

The body is at the Brown Funeral Home, Cedar Falls.
