FATHER OF CHARLES CITYANS DIES IN WATERLOO HOSPITAL

Charles City – Mr. and Mrs. Dale Carey and Charles Carey were called to Waterloo Thursday afternoon because of the serious illness of their father, Harry A. Carey.

Mr. Carey who was a patient in the Presbyterian hospital died at 9 p.m. Thursday of a heart ailment.

Funeral services were to be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Kearns Garden Chapel in Waterloo. The body was to be brought to Charles City for burial in Riverside Cemetery.

Harry Alfred Carey was born May 21, 1888 in Nashua, Chickasaw, Iowa, the son of George and Emma Carey. He married Eva Blanche Monroe. (according to 1925 Iowa Census and birth record for his son Harry Jr. They had 4 children, Dale, Alletha, Harry Jr. and Bernice. (according to the 1930 Census)
