Michelle L. Spande (1971-2006)

WATERLOO - Michelle (Gray) Spande 35, formerly of Alpha, Iowa died Sunday, October 1, at Harmony House in Waterloo from complications of an auto accident.

She was born February 23, 1971, daughter of Susan Gray. After serving in the Air Force from 1992-1997, she married Alexis Spande in January 1998; they later divorced in 2005. She worked at Alterra Nursing Home in Englewood, Colorado until her auto accident in September 2005.

She is survived by her Mother, Sue (Dan) Strebe; two aunts, Nancy (Whitey) Patrick and Judy (Ron) Lowe; an uncle, John (Gayle) Alexander; and her dog (Chula).

Proceeded in death by her Grandparents, William Alexander and Iva Simmons; and brother, James Alexander.

Services will occur at 3:00 p.m. at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, with visitation from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
