Harry Baldwin died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Rosewood Estates in Waterloo. He was born June 2, 1922 in Vernon County, Wisconsin the son of Oscar and Eva (Larson) Baldwin.

December 9, 1943 he was united in marriage to Doris June Williams, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
Harry served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in the European Theater during WW II as a Navigator-Bombardier on B-25s and had received the Purple Heart and also the Distinguished Flying Cross. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a bachelor's degree and then was Treasurer and Office Manager of Zeidler Concrete Company in Waterloo until retirement. Harry had been an extremely active volunteer for the Red Cross. He held the position of Head Usher and was known as "Candy Man" at First Baptist Church in Cedar Falls.

Harry is survived by his wife of Waterloo; two sons, Craig S. (Jane) Baldwin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Mark W. (Peggy) Baldwin of Cedar Falls; his daughter, Lisa A. (Francis) Wheeler also of Broken Arrow; six grandchildren, Laura (Nick) Hawkins, Sarah Fergemann, Amy Baldwin, Emily Fergemann, Julie Baldwin and Jared Wheeler; three half brothers, Roger (Janice) Bolstad of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Nordine Bolstad, and Jerry (Pat) Bolstad all of Rockford, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by one son, Tim Anthony Baldwin; a daughter in infancy, Jane Elizabeth; half sister, Clarice Johnson; and five half brothers, Marcellus Baldwin,
