EVANSDALE - Donald John Herrmann, 75, of Evansdale, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Waterloo, son of Frances and Ann Struble Herrmann. He married Gloria Schoenfield in October 1956 at Grace Baptist Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Herrmann attended Gilbertville Community Schools. He was employed as a supervisor with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Cedar Falls Gun Club.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Randy Joe of Waterloo and Danny Dean and Brad Allen, both of Evansdale; two daughters, Dixie Raye Lusher of Waterloo and Terri Lynn (Perry) Hoff of Traer; four grandchildren, Todd Allen, Brandon Lee Herrmann and Richard Wayne Lusher, all of Evansdale, and Nathan (Valerie) Herrmann of Waterloo; four great-grandchildren; his mother of Oak Creek, Wis.; two brothers, Bill (Vickie) of Janesville and Joe of Oak Creek; and two sisters, Dorothy Marie (John) Waterloo of Oak Creek and Caroline Stimpert.

Preceded in death by his father.

Graveside Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, assisted with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family in lieu of flowers.

Donald very much enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, hunting and trying his luck at the casino.
