WATERLOO - Florence B. Smith, 95, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 9, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

She was born April 18, 1916, in Waterloo, daughter of Fred and Lillie Schmidt Hunemiller. She married Donald R. Smith on Oct. 16, 1943, in Iowa City. He died Aug. 18, 1976.

Mrs. Smith was employed by the Waterloo Community Schools as the cafeteria manager at McKinstry Junior High, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Survived by a daughter, Karen (John) Trunnell of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Marty (Don) Johnson and Matthew (Rose) and John Trunnell; and five great-grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly), Landon, Amberly and Seth Johnson and Johnathon Trunnell.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Hunemiller; and a sister, Edna Davis.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Florence enjoyed watching football games and baking cookies for her family and friends. A mother's love has no end.
