Louie Woock died Saturday, August 5, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

Louie was born October 19, 1924, at St. Francis Hospital in Waterloo, the son of Charles and Stella (Markham) Woock.

On January 9, 1954, he was united in marriage to Betty Lou Schanbeck in Waterloo. She died March 12, 2006. He was employed as a truck driver for Jens Olson and Sons Construction, until his retirement in 1982.

Louie is survived by his two sons, Dennis G. (Denise) Woock of Cedar Falls and Gary (Carolyn) Hunt of Hawthorne, FL; three daughters, Lori A. (Dale Kluth) Handberg of Cedar Falls, Cherry (Al) Payne of Charlottesville, VA, and Judy Partridge of Enfield, CT; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers; one sister; and granddaughter.
