James "Jim" Duffy, 69, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at his home with his wife by his side. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd., Nampa; (208) 467-7300.

Jim was born Jan. 12, 1942, to Mark and June Morse Duffy in Des Moines. He grew up in Cedar Falls. After graduating from Cedar Falls High in 1960, he met the love of his life, Shirley Buehler. They were married Aug. 31, 1963. They moved to Miami, where Jim worked for Eastern Airlines as a supervisor in the mailing and shipping department. He retired in 1979 after moving his family to Nampa. Jim managed Nampa Townhouses and later worked for Mercy Homecare (MedNow). He enjoyed flying, working on cars, spending time at their cabin and wave watching on the Oregon coast.

Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley; daughters Julie (John) Cole and Linda Duffy, both of Nampa; a brother, Tim (Jackie) of Miami; a sister, Rebecca Duffy of Murphy, N.C.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Brian and Joanna, who love and will miss their "Mo Duffy;" two little angels, Jordyn and Madison; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Kay) and Kevin Buehler; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his older sister, Janet Dunn; and sister-in-law Shari Brackin.
