CEDAR FALLS -- Jeffrey Glen DeBeer, 41, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, June 21, at Maricopa Burn Center, Phoenix, Ariz., from injuries received in a propane gas explosion at his home on May 14.

He was born Dec. 23, 1958, in Waterloo, son of Glen J. and Mavorette S. Crowley DeBeer.
Mr. DeBeer was employed as an independent computer technician in the Mesa and Phoenix area.

Survived by: his mother, Mavorette S. Dettmer of Waterloo; his father of Cedar Falls; a brother, Dan of Waterloo; maternal grandmother who raised him, Lucy Crowley of Waterloo; paternal grandmother, Wilma Riley of Waterloo; three half brothers, Kelen Nosko of Waterloo, Korey Nosko of Elk Run Heights and John DeBeer of Cedar Falls; a half sister, Kerry Gay of Mason City; and two stepsisters, Sandra Adolphs and Shelly Acklin, both of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: paternal grandfather, Otto DeBeer; maternal grandfather, George Crowley; stepfather, Steven Dettmer; paternal stepgrandfather, Earl Riley; and a stepbrother, Terry DeBeer.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery, Sigel, rural Waverly. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
