GRAM, PHENNINGER, STAUFFACHER, TAYLOR

CEDAR FALLS - Harold A. Gram, 77, of Sun City, Ariz., and Monona, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Great River Care Center, McGregor.

He was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Cedar Falls, son of Jesse and Esther Phenninger Gram. He married Norma Stauffacher on Feb. 6, 1955, in Cedar Rapids. She died May 16, 1998.

Mr. Gram graduated from Cedar Falls High School and was employed with Viking Pump Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1996. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survived by a son, Scott of Phoenix; a daughter, Lori (Randall) Taylor of Holmen, Wis.; and a special friend, Evelyn Wacker of Monona.

Preceded in death by a brother, Marvin.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Full military rites will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 with flag folding by the Iowa Army Honor Guard. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Harold was a simple man who loved his family, all people, life and God.
