WATERLOO - Dawn Michelle Recker, 37, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Dec. 29, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Sept. 11, 1974, in Waterloo, daughter of Robert and Kay Gardner Recker.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1994. She was an aide at A-Z Daycare from 1996-2009.

Survived by her parents of Waterloo; and a brother, Chris (Angie) of Woodbridge, Va.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Florian and Helen Recker; her maternal grandparents, Claude and Marie Gardner; and an uncle/godfather, Don Recker and Thomas Recker.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the church.
