CEDAR FALLS - James A. Berger, 46, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Dec. 26, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He born Oct. 26, 1965, in Cedar Falls, son of Robert Berger and Susan Russell.

Mr. Berger was formerly employed with Tyson Co. and other local industries. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Survived by his wife, Marcy Pelton of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Beth and Kim Berger, both of Waterloo, and Taleah Berger of Cedar Falls; three sons, Zack "Bubba" Berger, Tony "Bob" Diggins and Trey Berger, all of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; two brothers, Jonathan Webster and Jason Russell, both of Waterloo; a half sister, Kari Brown of Waterloo; a special cousin, Mickey Stokes of Cedar Falls; and his former wife, Christine Diggins of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his grandparents; his father on May 28, 2011; his mother on Sept. 15, 2011; and a grandson, Mateo Berger.

Services: 4 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, where visitation begins at 2 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Jim enjoyed photography and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He liked birds of prey, especially owls and eagles.
