CEDAR FALLS - Herbert A. Ramer, 58, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at his home.

He was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Chesterfield, Penn., son of Chester L. "Jack" and J. Elaine Johnson Ramer.

Mr. Ramer graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1971, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He graduated from the Business Institute of Technology in 1985, and was a computer programmer with Applied Systems in Oelwein for 19 years. He was currently working at 5 Corners Liquor and Wine in Cedar Falls.

Survived by a son, John (Nicole) of Janesville; and a granddaughter, Addison Ramer.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Public visitation: from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls.
