CEDAR FALLS - Roselyn T. Ryan, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Dec. 23, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born Dec. 6, 1921, in Plymouth Rock, daughter of Albert and Della Scheidemantel Hauber. She married Layle A. Ryan Oct. 1, 1941, in Cresco. He died Jan. 14, 1998.

She was a custodian in the student union at the University of Northern Iowa for 20 years, retiring in 1987. Mrs. Ryan was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls.

Survived by two daughters, Rosie (James) Sheda of Rochester, Minn., and Pat Barta of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Steve of Cedar Falls and Earl of Marion; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, June Ryan and Marion Haskovec, both of Cresco, and Norma (Gaylord) Smith of Huntington, W.V.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Carolan; and son, Kevin.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Visiting Nurses Association.
