LA PORTE CITY - JoAnn Bruce, 58, of La Porte City, died at home Monday, Dec. 19, from heart failure.

She was born Dec. 28, 1952, in La Porte City, daughter of Elzie Sr. and Ruby Robins Lee. She had worked in customer service for APAC and also had been a receptionist for John Deere Health Care.

Survived by three sons, Ryan (Jenn) and Adam (Kaylee Struve), both of La Porte City, and Chad (Jessica Heiar) of Marion; four grandchildren, Shayna, Dylan, Rayven and Bailey Bruce; three brothers, Lindy (Jane) Lee of Orange County, Calif., Donald (Joan) Lee of Clarksville and Elzie Jr. (Linda) Lee of La Porte City; a sister, Shirley (Jerry) Tompkins of La Porte City; and a special companion, Terry Greek of La Porte City.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Glen Lee.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at La Porte City Funeral Service, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in West View Cemetery. Her casket will be closed.
