HUDSON - Carrie "Maxine" Pearson, 94, of Hudson, died Sunday, Dec. 18, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Bremer County, daughter of Chester and Zola Johnson Call. She married Kenneth Morrow Pearson on Nov. 27, 1937, in Cedar Rapids. He died Jan. 17, 1991.

Mrs. Pearson graduated from Waterloo West High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Hudson United Methodist Church and was president of United Methodist Church Women, the Good Luck Club and Farm Bureau Ladies.

Survived by a son, Jim (Pat) Pearson of Hudson; two daughters, Karol (Jerry) Schmidt of Hudson and Kathy Pearson of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Chad (Lisa) Schmidt, Michelle (Pat) Wrage, Kami (Mike) King, Ashlee (Wes) Klingaman and Angela Pearson; four stepgrandchildren, Joan, Janet, Kevin and Kelly; seven great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Krista and Cody Schmidt, Austin and Connor Wrage and Jared and Brody King; and a brother, Gilbert Call of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by grandson; and two sisters: Marguerite Sullivan and Dorothea in infancy

Services: 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hudson United Methodist Church, with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, and an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or family.
