ELK RUN HEIGHTS - James Chris Clemmensen, 70, of Elk Run Heights, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo.

He was born March 13, 1941, in Waterloo, son of Lyle and Esther Colburn Clemmensen. He married Amelia Clark and they later separated.

Mr. Clemmensen retired from John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works after 29 years of service.

Survived by a daughter, Shelly Suttle of Tennessee; two stepdaughters, Sheryl Simerson and Deborah Yancey, both of Waterloo; a stepson, Tony Clark of Waterloo; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry of Waterloo and Lyle of Elk Run Heights; and a sister, Pat Conrad of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by a sister, Dixie Sanderson; a stepson, Craig Clark; and a grandson.

According to his wishes he was cremated. His family and friends are going to gather from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, 706 Colleen Ave., Evansdale. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, assisted the family with cremation.
