EVANSDALE - Wilmer P. "Bill" Paggett, 82, of Evansdale, died Saturday, Dec. 10, at New Aldaya in Cedar Falls.

He was born July 12, 1929, in Randall, son of Jack and Erma Hanson Paggett.

He married Genevieve Habenicht June 6, 1953, in Waterloo. She died May 2, 1992.

He was a brick layer and a truck driver, retiring in 1976 from Warren Transport. Mr. Paggett was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.

Survived by three daughters, Jackie (Brian) Harrill of Evansdale, Ann Waller of Evansdale and Janet (Randy) Johnson of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Jason Bahr, Joseph Bahr, Julie Eastman, Daniel Rogers, Heidi Richardson, Amie Johnson and JoAn Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry of Sioux Falls, S.D.

Preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Jessica; three sisters, Lola, Violet Tjernagel and Betty Doolittle; and two brothers, Donald and Jack Jr.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with inurnment at a later date in Mount Olive Cemetery, Randall. Full Military Rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today, and will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Iowa Hospice.
