WATERLOO - Clyde "Candy Man" Moore, 58, of Waterloo, died Nov. 29. Cause of death pending Medical Examiner's report.

He was born Sept. 17, 1953, in Waterloo, son of Clyde Moore Sr. and Gladys Martin. He married Treva Jean Crawford March 15, 2000, in Waterloo.

He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1972. Mr. Moore was a painter at M & M Painting, until becoming disabled. He also was an entrepreneur with his famous peanut brittle, and later became known as the "Candy Man".

Survived by his wife; five brothers, Terry of Alameda, Calif., Mike and Keith, both of Waterloo, Dennis (Dell) of Richmond, Va., and Tim (Arinita) of Atlanta.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Clydine Douglas.

Public visitation: from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Payne A.M.E. Church, with cremation to follow. Sanders Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 706 Quincy St., in Waterloo.

He was an outstanding baseball pitcher, with a rifle arm. Clyde was loved by his wife, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
