WATERLOO - Leta Mae Miller, 87, of Waterloo, died Monday, Nov. 21, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Vinton, daughter of Dewey and Neva Young Ferguson. She married Dale Richard Miller in July 1944. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Waterloo West High in 1942.

Survived by two sisters, Betty and Lorna of Arkansas; three daughters, Kristin of Sacramento, Calif., Lisa (Dearl Thomas) of Waterloo and Tracy of Mexico City, Mexico; a son, Michael (Elaine) of Duluth, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Dale; and a sister, Phyllis.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Waterloo.

Leta was known for her love of God, family and friends. The family wishes to recognize Parkview Nursing and Rehab and staff, both past and present for so many years of dedicated care. We can't thank you enough for being her friend and bringing smiles, encouragement and love to her on a daily basis.
