On Nov. 21, 2011, Theonie (Toni) Netty started a new journey. Toni was born on June 25, 1931, in Waterloo, daughter of Antonio and Stamatula Lambropoulos Netty.

She and her family were longtime members of St. Demetrius Greek Orthodox Church in Waterloo.

Toni graduated from East High School in Waterloo. She worked for Black Hawk County for many years, then owned and operated Toni's Near New Shops in Waterloo, and Boulder and Lafayette, Colo. Toni loved the interaction with her customers and enjoyed serving them and finding whatever it was they sought.

Other passions include Denver Bronco's football and escaping to the Rocky Mountains to cast a line into the lakes. Her memorable Greek cooking is what her family will miss so much.

Toni's family consists of her sons, Mike and Becky Terpstra, Kevin and Chris Terpstra, Brian and Kris Terpstra and Mark Terpstra; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Drive, Suite E, Fort Collins, Colo. Entombment will follow on Friday at Grandview Cemetery
