CEDAR FALLS - Kenneth Lyle Satterlee, 96, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Nov. 21, at Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center, Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Fort Dodge, son of Lyle and Florance Hall Satterlee. He married Marjorie M. Bottine on Feb. 15, 1937, in Waterloo. She died Jan. 15, 1998.

Mr. Satterlee served in the Iowa National Guard prior to World War II and worked for John Deere & Co., Waterloo, for 42 years, retiring May 27, 1977, as divisional superintendent. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Moose Lodge.

Survived by a son, Michael (Melodie) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Merrian Back of Evansdale and Terrie (Rafael) Esquivel of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Kemp of Waterloo; and a daughter-in-law, Janice Satterlee of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; a son, LeRoy; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Robert Satterlee.

Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, followed by a graveside committal service at Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
