WATERLOO - William Lamar Crawford, 81, of 1925 E. Fourth St., died Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

He was born Dec. 19, 1929, in Water Valley, Miss., son of Jesse and Mahalia Nunally Crawford. He married Amanda Ragland in Water Valley. She died in 1999.

Mr. Crawford served in U.S. Army during the Korean War and was formerly employed at John Deere.

Survived by a daughter, Alice (Dave) Elliott of Davenport; two sons, Jesse and Robert, both of Waterloo; and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Rufus.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with private burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Sanders Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 1925 E. Fourth St., where they will receive friends.
