WATERLOO - Mary Eileen Moore, 84, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Faith Lutheran Home, Osage.

She was born April 30, 1927, in Cresco, daughter of William and Loretta Farrell Smith. She married Philip B. Moore on May 11, 1949, in Lourdes. He died May 11, 2008.

Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Cresco High School and Mercy School of Nursing, Mason City. She was a registered nurse for 25 years at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, and John Deere Medical Group, Waterloo, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, and was a volunteer at Covenant Medical Center.

Survived by four daughters, Maureen (Jim) Green of Lake Ozark, Mo., Kathryn Limes of London, Ohio, Janean (Kevin) Kolbet of Osage and Patricia Bardole of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Robert P. (Elaine) of Hudson; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Regina (Charles) Bielefeld, of Verndale, Minn.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Falls, with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church, Iowa Hospice or Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

Thank you to Faith Lutheran Home, Osage, and Iowa Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to our mother and the support to all family members.
