WATERLOO - Yvonne H. Hanson, 75, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

She was born Oct. 9, 1935, in Waterloo, daughter of Mose and Agnes Weekley Lemons. She married Lester A. Hanson April 17, 1954, in Waterloo. He died in December 1999.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Waterloo. She also volunteered at Cedar Valley Food Bank and Salvation Army daily meal program.

Survived by a daughter, Yvonne Sturtz of Boone; four sons, Lester Hanson Jr., David Hanson and Lloyd Hanson, all of Waterloo, and Daniel (Sandra) Hanson of Des Moines; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Robertson of Oklahoma, and Mary Decker and Madeline (Richard) Allensworth of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debbie Sue; a brother, Robert Cronan; and a sister, Maxine Lott.

Celebration of life 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Seventh-day Adventist Church, Waterloo, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel in Waterloo is assisting the family.
