COOK, FURMAN, STEBBINS

The funeral services for Mrs. D. Clinton Cook were held at the home yesterday at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. R. Tilllnghast of the Universalist Church and the burial was in Fairview.

Mrs. Cook's maiden name was Eliza Furman. She was born in Troy, Bedford County. Pa., 65 years ago last August.

Thirty-four years ago she moved to Aurora, Illinois, and three years later came to Waterloo where she lived for a brief time and where she met D. Clinton Cook whom she married in Chicago, not long afterwards. They resided one summer in Sterling. Illinois, moving to La Porte in the fall where they made their home twelve years. From La Porte they came to Waterloo, eighteen years ago.

Mr. Cook came to the county in the winter of 1856-7 and is an old pioneer.

Of the union one son was born, Jay Cook, who is now at home,having come with his wife last fall to remain with the parents during his mother's feeble condition.

Mrs. Cook leaves besides her husband and son, two brothers, one in Chicago and the other in Indiana. Also, three sisters: one in Elmira, N. Y.; one in Coloma, Michigan, and Mrs. D. A. Stebbins of Chicago, who is now in Waterloo.
