WATERLOO - Mary W. McGuire, 83, of Waterloo, died Friday, Oct. 21, at Allen Hospital.

She was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Coffee County, Ala., daughter of T.K. Foxworth and Nora Zigler. She married Grover McGuire on July 20, 1946, in Troy, Pike County, Ala. He died in 1985.

She was employed by the East Orange (New Jersey) School District and later worked at UNI-CUE in Waterloo.

Survived by a daughter, Serlinder "Lynn" (W. Ray) Richardson of Waterloo; two grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Foxworth of Detroit.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Andrea.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Antioch Baptist Church, Waterloo, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, and a viewing at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. The family will receive friends at 224 Highland Blvd. in Waterloo.
