WATERLOO - Kenneth Hugh Hudspeth, 75, of Waterloo, died Friday, Oct. 21, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, Wis., of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 7, 1936, in Iowa City, son of Paul and Marguerite Smith Hudspeth. He married Margaret Lewinski on Nov. 16, 1957, in Boston, and they later divorced. He married Joyce Mahoney on Dec. 29, 1980, in Waterloo.

Mr. Hudspeth graduated from Marshalltown St. Mary's High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army from 1954-57. He worked for Smitty's Bakery in Waterloo and Iowa City and for John Deere from 1960 until retiring as a supervisor for Engine Works Assembly Division in May 1986.

Survived by his wife; three sons Jeffrey (Debra) Hudspeth of Cedar Falls, Joseph Hudspeth (Dena) of Apopka, Fla., and Daren Mahoney of Minneapolis; two daughters, Kathryn (Chris) Spaulding of Sebring, Fla., and Jennifer (Drew) Byrnes of Waterloo; grandchildren, Jonathan and Nicole Hudspeth of Cedar Falls, Emily Byrnes of Waterloo, Sara Spaulding, April Spaulding and Melissa (John) Tanner and their children Morgan and Luke of Sebring, and Jack Mahoney Kosidowski of Minneapolis; a brother, Jerry (Mary) of Billings, Mont.; three sisters, Paula McNew of Marshalltown, Dolores (Gerry) Barker of Overgaard, Ariz., and Kay Winn of Clarkdale, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Jeannine (Bob) Avery of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, Kenneth Hudspeth.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery. Military honors provided by Iowa Army National Guard Honor Guard, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Kenny loved his friends and spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, baking cookies and gardening. Kenny was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He is remembered as being a generous person. Kenny was a member of AMVETS Post 19 in Waterloo, the Supervisors' Club and attended Hammond Avenue Brethren Church in Waterloo.
