CEDAR FALLS - Dawn Lee Powell, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Oct. 6, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

She was born April 13, 1936, in New Hartford, daughter of Lee Edward and Violet Elizabeth Good Dix. She married Lester Powell Sept. 4, 1954, in New Hartford. He died March 27, 1998.

She graduated from Parkersburg High School, and was registrar at the Winnebago Council Boy Scouts of America in Waterloo for more than 25 years, retiring in 1998.

Survived by four daughters, Becky (Mike) Zuck of Bondurant, Kathy (Gary) Freiberg of Champlin, Minn., Cheryl (Paul) Humeston of Hanska, Minn., and Teri (Tim) Vorland of West Des Moines; two sons, Doug (Dee) Powell of Janesville and David (Dawn) Powell of Humboldt; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorial fund will be established.
