WATERLOO - Lucille Creighton, 86, of Las Vegas, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 30, at Manor Health Care facility, Las Vegas, from complications of diabetes.

She was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Jackson, Ala., daughter of Charlie and Mary Fox. She married Love Joy Bumpers on Oct. 19, 1941, and they later divorced. She married David Creighton. He died in 1980.

She was a cook at Black Hawk County Halfway House for several years, retiring in 1992.

Survived by a brother, Sam (Ola) Fox of Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Vernita Jean Betty of Las Vegas; six sons, Floyd Bumpers Sr. of Waterloo, the Rev. Donald Kidd Sr. of Mobile, Leon of Des Moines, Larry of New Mexico, Lorenzo (Lisa) of Las Vegas and Tommy of Delhi; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Archie and Cleveland Fox; and a granddaughter, Niki Lennett Creighton.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 55 Newell St., with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Saturday at Kingdom Hall.
