CEDAR FALLS - Bernice V. Hoskins, 94, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, at NewAldaya Lifescapes Facility in Cedar Falls.

She was born Oct. 24, 1916, daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Thoms Ridout in Hardin County. She married Kenneth C. Hoskins Aug. 12, 1937, in Eldora. He died Aug. 20, 2000.

She attended Cottage School in Hardin County. She was a homemaker and a former member of Central Christian Church.

Survived by two daughters, Sandra K. (Gerald) Goodwin of Cedar Falls and Sherry (Sid) Burns of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a grandson, Steve Goodwin; two sisters; and five brothers.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care, with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, both in Marshalltown. Public visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
