WATERLOO - Madelyn Mary Frost, 88, of Waterloo, died Monday, Sept. 26, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born April 10, 1923, in Jesup, daughter of Arthur Francis and Anna Welter Youngblut. She married Harold Mathias Frost on Nov. 4, 1942. He died Oct. 9, 2000.

Mrs. Frost was an elementary teacher at St. Nicholas and St. John's Catholic schools and was a day care provider. She managed the Hat Shop and also worked at Walker's Shoe Store.

Survived by two sons, Michael (Jill) of Benton, Ark., and Mark of Waterloo; two daughters, Sharon (Dean) Dalrymple of Independence and Sheila (Dave) Frost of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Lenora) of Jesup; a sister, Shirley (Art) Trebon of Hollywood, Fla.; and three sisters-in-law, Pat Youngblut, Donna Youngblut and Lois Youngblut.

Preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Klunenberg; and four brothers, Tom, Cleo, Melvin and Charles.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Raymond. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas or Cedar Valley Hospice.
