Funeral services for Loraine T. Fisher, age 73, of Waterloo, Iowa will be held Thursday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in West View Cemetery, both in LaPorte City, Iowa. Huisman Funeral Home of LaPorte City, Iowa is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Loraine, daughter of Norbert and Pearle (Rundel) Fangman, was born July 31, 1926 in New Hampton, Iowa. She married Virgil R. Fisher on June 30, 1947 in Nashua, Iowa.

Loraine Fisher died Monday, March 27, 2000 at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa from complications of multiple sclerosis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil R. Fisher, who died on February 6, 1999, and three grandchildren.

Loraine is survived by her 5 sons, Jeff Fisher and Nick Fisher, both of Mount Auburn, Iowa, Doug Fisher of Spencer, Iowa, Tim Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Terry Fisher of LaPorte City, Iowa; her 3 daughters, Cheryl Even, Jeni Meier, and Deb Koontz, all of LaPorte City, Iowa; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother Larry Fangman of Hermitage, Missouri.
