WATERLOO - Kevin E. Orvis, 49, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Sept. 18, after a long illness.

He was born July 23, 1962, in Waterloo, son of Richard W. and Karen Hansen Orvis. He married Denene Marquardt on Dec. 3, 2010, in Waterloo.

Mr. Orvis was employed by the Waterloo Community Schools in the maintenance department.

Survived by his wife; his mother, Karen Langan of Waterloo; two sons, Charlie (Missy Pilkey) and Mike (Laurie Ball), both of Waterloo; two stepsons, John Fluhr and Brett Fluhr, both of Waterloo; three stepdaughters, Patricia, Lisa and Kimberly Fluhr, all of Waterloo; two sisters, Rebecca Orvis and Dawn Lo, both of Waterloo; and 11 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his father.
