WATERLOO - Judith Faye "Poody" Lind, 50, of Des Moines, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 16, at her home of breast cancer.

She was born Oct. 12, 1960, in Waterloo, daughter of Robert and Nancy Haugen Jackson. She married Steve Lind May 17, 1980, in La Porte City. They later divorced.

She graduated from La Porte City High School. Mrs. Lind was an administrative assistant for six years at USF Holland in Ankeny.

Survived by a daughter, Jessica of Urbandale; a son, Nicholas of Urbandale; her mother, Nancy Jackson of La Porte City; two sisters, Brenda Smith of Waterloo and Betsy Shaw of Belton, Texas; a brother, Jim (Angie) Jackson of Cedar Rapids; and a special friend, Steve Humphreys of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by her father, Robert Jackson.
