DOROTHY E. WILSHUSEN, 76, died Sunday, August 6, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, Iowa. She was born September 25, 1929 at Hudson, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth (Noltensmeier) Degener.

Dorothy graduated from Hudson High School in 1948. She married Duane L. Wilshusen on October 11, 1968 in Harmony, Minnesota. Dorothy was a dental technician and retired in 1992. Presently she worked part time as a filing clerk at Tuve Investment Company in Waterloo, Iowa.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Duane L. Wilshusen, of Waterloo, Iowa; four sons, Andrew D. Sergeant, Jr. and Leslie (Linda) Sergeant, both of Waterloo, Robert (Diane) Wilshusen of Blaine, Minnesota and Ronald Wilshusen of Savage, Minnesota; two daughters, Nancy (Larry) Lunde and Sheryl Wilshusen, both of Waterloo; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marjorie Wulf and Allene (Gerald) Bauer, both of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, LeRoy “Bud” Degener and one in infancy.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Inurnment will be in Waterloo, Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
