DEAD AT FALLS

Funeral at Home Monday Afternoon
Burial at Greenwood Cemetery

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Mrs. John Wyth, who has resided in Iowa ever since she came to this country in 1860, died here this morning at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Wyth's maiden name was Anna Bacon, and she was born in London, England, June 19, 1839. She was married to Charles Connell in 1859 and the young couple came to this country in 1960, settling at Waterloo from which place the husband enlisted in the Civil War and was killed in 1862, leaving one daughter, Kate.

In 1863 the widow was married to the late John Wyth and has made Cedar Falls her home ever since.

The children left to mourn the loss of the good mother are Miss Kate, Mrs. A. H. Bangert, C. M. Wyth, J. G. Wyth of Cedar Falls and Frank J. Wyth of Mitchell, South Dakota, and a granddaughter, Mrs. George Sorgartz, of Springfield, Illinois.

One son, Harry, died in 1911 and one daughter, Elizabeth, died twenty-four years ago. The father, John Wyth, passed away in 1891.

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at the home on West Third Street and the religious exercises will be conducted by the Reverend Cole of the Episcopal Church. She will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

A large number of friends will sympathize with the numerous relatives of this good lady in their loss.
