Elizabeth "Liz" Butikofer, 55, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, December 7, 2006, near Waverly, Iowa, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was born May 6, 1951 in Viroqua, Wisconsin, the daughter of Don and Phyllis (Warner) Dahlke. Liz married Bob Butikofer on February 3, 1973 in Fayette, Iowa.

She was a 1969 graduate of Waukon High School and a 1973 graduate of Upper Iowa University in Fayette. Liz was a library aide for seven years at the Waterloo Public Library and was a member of the United Church of Christ in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, of Cedar Falls; a son, Christian (Amanda) Butikofer and a daughter, Alyssa Butikofer, both of St. Paul, Minnesota; a grandson, Jackson Butikofer; her parents, Don and Phyllis Dahlke of West Union, Iowa; two brothers, Bill (Connie) Dahlke of Marshalltown, Iowa and Karl (Kim) Dahlke of Bellevue, Nebraska, and a sister, Sue (Mick) Stamper, of Waukon.

Liz was preceded in death by a niece, Sarah Dahlke, and a brother-in-law, Keith Butikofer.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 12, at the United Church of Christ in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 9:30—11:00 am Tuesday at the church. Interment will be 3:00 pm Tuesday at Illyria Community Church Cemetery near Elgin, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the United Church of Christ, Cedar Falls.
