LA PORTE CITY - Kathryn M. Keegan, 90, of La Porte City, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born May 23, 1921, in Littleton, daughter of Ted E. and Lydia L. Benson Carroll. She married Robert "Bob" Keegan on May 27, 1938, in Eagle Center. He died Feb. 2, 1990.

Survived by a son, Richard (Connie) of La Porte City; a daughter, Patricia Allen of La Porte City; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Keegan of La Porte City and Clarice Keegan-Bader of Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Oscar Van Fleet; a great-grandson, James Keegan; a brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Betty Carroll; and a son-in-law, Richard Allen.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, with a 4 p.m. rosary service. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church. La Porte City Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements

Memorials may be directed to the family, where a memorial fund will be established.
