WATERLOO - Janice E. Mollenhoff, 72, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, Aug. 13.

She was born July 2, 1939, in Cresco, daughter of John and Mary Junge Ott. She married Frank Mollenhoff on Aug. 5, 1961, in Waterloo. He died in 1998.

Mrs. Mollenhoff was employed in the office of Sacred Heart Parish for 33 years, retiring in May 2011.

Survived by a son, David G. (Angela) of Waterloo; two daughters, Cynthia M. (David) Sand of Waterloo and Susie (James) Poock of Waverly; seven grandchildren, Matt, Josh, Nick, Elizabeth, Sarah, Alexis and Emily; a great-granddaughter, Kaylee; two sisters, Lucy Borseth of Cresco, and her twin, Joyce Ormsby of Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, Orvald (Lenora) Ott of Fairbank and Francis (Gerry) Ott of Denver.

Preceded in death by five brothers, Ervin, Floiran, Herbert, Melvin and John Ott; and two sisters, Alvera Richardson and Irene Pittelko.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
