WATERLOO - Keith D. Selix, 86, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Aug. 7.

He was born March 12, 1925, in Detroit, son of Keith and Martha Rose Selix. He married Virginia Ramsell on Jan. 29, 1955, in Waterloo. She died Feb. 12, 2005.

Mr. Selix was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed with John Deere as a machinist for 30 years, retiring April 30, 1982.

Survived by two daughters, Kimberlee "Kim" Selix of Waterloo and Rebecca Marie Selix of Cedar Rapids.

Graveside Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Wayside Cemetery, Chapin. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society.

Keith enjoyed playing the Iowa Lottery scratch tickets, with which he had numerous wins. He enjoyed traveling to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and had a love for the Chicago Cubs and his dogs, Maya and Megan.
