CEDAR FALLS - Alyce J. Ruffcorn, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, July 5, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

She was born April 2, 1923, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Nels and Julia J. Hansen Skaarup. She married Donald F. Ruffcorn on Aug. 15, 1944, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. He died Dec. 2, 1998.

Before retirement, Mrs. Ruffcorn worked for Viking Pump Co., Titus Manufacturing and Nash Finch.

Survived by two sisters, Dorthie (Grant) Hook of Cedar Falls and Anita Haynes of Louisiana.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel, with inurnment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
